Born in 1972, he graduated from the Department of Painting and Graphic Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk before venturing into film directing and scriptwriting. Taxing Love is his first full feature film. His short feature The Hamster (Chomik) was presented at a number of festivals both in Poland and abroad. Prior to that, he directed some of the episodes of TV series “Reguly gry” and “Usta, usta.” Ignaciuk is also an accomplished commercial director. As half of ChukChuk duo, he was picked out as one of the promising new commercial directors to watch in Saatchi&Saatchi New Directors Showcase in Cannes in 2003. Two-time winner of KTR Award for film directing during the Festival of Advertising Creators Club. The music video that he directed for pop singer Kora’s song “Zabawa w chowanego” was nominated to a Grand Prix Award at the Yacht Film Festival in 2010.
